There are a number of events that have been held in Les Gets that have added to the history of the town and continue to attract new visitors.

Crankworx

Historically Les Gets has been at the forefront of mountain biking. It was one of the first resorts to offer lift accessed riding, something that had a huge impact on the sport and increased its popularity. Therefore it is no surprise that Crankworx, the largest mountain bike festival in the world, have chosen Les Gets to host their European event. Held every June, this event attracts some of the top riders in the world and includes events such as the pump track challenge, a whip off competition, a big air competition, slopestyle and a downhill race.

UCI World Cups

From the early days of mountain bike racing Les Gets has been an important venue for the sport, hosting four UCI World Cups and, in 2004, the UCI World Championships on Mt Chery, with local rider Fabien Barel taking the title and the rainbow jersey that year. The slopes of Les Gets have also previously hosted French National Cup races.

Tour De France

The Tour De France has previously passed through Les Gets. In 2016 it passed close to the village but the last time it went through Les Gets was in 2010, before finishing in Avoriaz. The Criterium also often passes through.

Lounge Music Festival

Around the end of July/start of August, Les Gets hosts their annual Lounge Music Festival, with over forty free concerts taking place throughout the town, playing a variety of different musics and providing a welcoming atmosphere for families to enjoy in the sun.

Mechanical Music Festival

Les Gets is home to a Mechanical Music Museum, so it is no surprise that since 1983 it has hosted the international Mechanical Music Festival. This involves two days of concert sin the church, puppet shows for children and performances from various mechanical instruments

Rock The Pistes

Every March the Portes Du Soleil hosts the Rock The Pistes music festival, with daily concerts up on the mountain slopes as well as events throughout town. Previous performers include Caravan Palace, Rag And Bone Man, Chinese Man, Babyshambles and Lee Scratch Perry. All concerts are free.
